About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

EKFB are recruiting for a GIS Technician to join the Joint Venture! This position will be suitable for a hybrid working pattern, you will be required to travel to our sites throughout Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, with our Head Office being in central Milton Keynes.

This role will be working within the Environment team and supporting several key themes such as ecology, archaeology, consenting and innovation.  The role would involve supporting the day-to-day requirements from the team such as map production, spatial analysis, data management and building web applications.  

You will be responsible for capturing, managing and analysing data in GIS from multiple sources and a variety of formats. We would also need you to produce maps and drawings for our client and other stakeholders. You will be supporting the Environment Team in the authoring of web services and we applications in ESRI Enterprise.
 
In this role you will be providing training and support to internal and external stakeholders and capturing requirements from the business and deriving from the contractual requirements. You will be deploying a suite of geospatial mobile data delivery applications. We would also need you to develop and document automated workflows and processes where needed and identify and communicate potential innovations to the GIS Manager.

About You

  • Degree qualified in GIS or another relevant field
  • Proficient use and knowledge of software such as ESRI suite of applications including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and especially ESRI mobile applications
  • Able to work as part of a team and engage with other GIS professionals on the project
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to create strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
A Driving License or access to your own transport is essential. Please note that our sites are not accessible by public transport due to the remote nature of the project.
