About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineer and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.

We’re looking for a Senior Sustainability Advisor to join our Route Wide Environment Team based in Milton Keynes.

In this role, you will be managing and overseeing the sustainability advisor functions related to carbon and BREAAM. You will be responsible for meeting client contract requirements for sustainability and reporting, including amongst others, the timely submission of those related to PMU5, responsible sourcing, waste management performance. You will be responsible for ongoing performance review and data reconciliation and interfacing with those responsible for PMU5 data sources, including supply chain and internal EKFB project delivery teams, to ensure accurate and timely capturing of data.
 

Part of this role is also a sustainability tool training and onboarding, as well as providing ongoing support to users. You will be supporting BREEAM- and carbon advisor functions in the daily undertaking of duties, including during internal and external review, audit and verification. You will be responsible for ongoing delivery of sustainability aspects of the EKFB environmental strategy.

  

In addition, you will manage key client stakeholder relationships – data and reviewer teams and also manage key internal stakeholder relationships with interfacing functions.  You will be overseeing ongoing implementation of the EKFB EMS, including review and updating of route wide standards and plans, and providing support during ISO14001 internal and external audits. You will be reviewing sustainability data, including waste management, water and energy consumption, to identify organization trends and risks.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in the environmental sciences or complementary discipline.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience delivering a sustainability role in the construction industry.
  • Experience in managing and implementing Environmental Management Systems including ISO14001 is essential.
  • Experience with BREEAM Infrastructure assessments desirable.
  • Knowledge of carbon management practices desirable incl. PAS2080, Lifecycle Assessment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
