About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
 
EKFB Are looking to recruit an Environmental Advisor. 
 
The successful candidate will:

Provide assurance of key design elements and support the Construction Environmental Lead Manager.

Ensure that the requirements of the Environmental Minimum Requirements, SCEW requirements and the Environmental Statement are complied with and are delivered.

Review and provide approval if required of method statements and other environmental deliverables related to SCEW.

Receive and review environmental reports and records and provide instructions or directions as per SCEW requirements.

Undertake regular inspections and assessment on site (rabbit control, tree and plants, etc..) as per SCEW Series 3000 clauses.

Collaboratively work with Planners and the Engineering team to ensure that environmental timescales are built into the programme and risk is understood.

Increase environmental awareness within the wider team particularly helping the Engineering team and any Supply Chain understand the environmental aspects and impacts and what action is required of them.

Establish and maintain a programme for reporting, and demonstrating compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice.

Assist with the implementation of BS EN ISO14001 certification and audit against the standard and internal procedures.

Support supply chain activities to raise environmental and sustainability standards.

Undertake other tasks from time to time to support the wider Environment Team.

About You

Experience in the industry.

Membership of an appropriate professional body working towards chartered status.
