About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineer and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.

We’re looking for a Part Time (3 days per week) Sustainability Advisor to join our Route Wide Environment Team to look specifically at the BREEAM. This role will be primarily based from Milton Keynes, however regular travel to sites will be required. You must hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle in order to be considered for this role.

You will provide support to the EKFB Sustainability and Environment Teams to deliver the HS2 contract requirements relating to environmental management.
 
You'll support the delivery of BREEAM across EKFB, including;
  • Working with various EKFB teams to collect evidence
  • Visiting various EKFB and MWCC site locations for meeting’s, workshops and presentations.
  • Owning and updating the BREEAM trackers
  • Delivery of the Quarterly BREEAM report
  • Identifying and escalating topics at risk
  • Feed into continual improvement of the EMS
  • Identifying opportunities for implementing best practice and innovation to achieve cost and programme efficiencies and risk mitigation.
  • Attending meetings with the client and other MWCC.
  • Presenting EKFB’s BREEAM progress as and when required, both on site and virtually.
You will be assisting with route wide assurance, HS2 TAR and sustainability audits e.g. Audits PAS 2080, ISO 20400, ISO 14001, both onsite and virtually. You'll also be feeding into the sustainability strategy and monthly reporting.
 
A key part of this role is reviewing sustainability data, as and when required and independently undertaking document control. You'll be working with the supply chain to improve performance in line with HS2 contractual requirements, including presenting virtually and onsite. 
 
We would need support with onboarding new suppliers onto EKFB systems if required as well as developing, co-ordinating and delivering training as and when required, delivering either virtually or on site. You may also be assisting with parent company interface, virtually and on site as and when required.

About You

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent with keen interest in sustainability
  • Strong IT skills - including Excel
  • Knowledge of HS2 technical standards and leading audits
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle
